Embrace The Balance

Before reading this daily inspiration today, I'd like to ask you to take a moment, be still, close your eyes, take a deep breath, exhale and know it's all going to be alright. For many of us, the past couple of years here on planet earth have been an absolute testament to both human frailty and strength; fear and hope; acceptance and judgement; despair and jubilation...in effect the balance of life that is always evident once looked for, understood, and embraced. If you don't understand and embrace it, you will become polarized to one opposite side, believing your point of view is the one that takes precedent above all else. God, Allah, Elohim, Yahweh, Mother Nature, the Universe, spiritual principles and universal laws don't work that way. Regardless of how you assign a higher source of infinite wisdom, nature abhors a vacuum and always seeks balance.

Genius is having the ability to take the complex and make it simple. If we look for the patterns and examples of what is right in front of us, we can oftentimes see the simplicity in what otherwise seems complicated. All things at a micro level are applicable at a macro level. At the micro level, the atom which is the smallest unit of matter, the attraction between the positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons is what holds it together. If you remove one, you have an atomic bomb. The macro world as we know and experience it operates the exact same way. If you remove or dismiss the opposite point of view to yours, you have probable catastrophe. One only has to look backwards throughout our past to see the realities of this throughout the history of human kind (insert your movement of choice here).

The purpose of these daily inspirations is to do my best to share these universal laws for the benefit of all that seek to discover their full potential. My personal purpose in life is to be a man of total integrity, love, and excellence in every area and share freely the universal laws of success that God has granted me the wisdom to learn and use in creating extraordinary success for myself and others. Though I'm crystal clear that there's far more that I'm ignorant of than that I could pretend I know, some things are so self evident they stand the test of time and transcend our belief system in their efficacy. For example, whether you believe in gravity or not, if you jump from an object higher than the level of the ground it's on...you will fall. Your point of view or certainty that doubts this is irrelevant once the physics of gravity are enacted.

As challenging as the past couple of years have been for all of us due to the pandemic, know "this too shall pass". I'd also suggest you recognize that as Napoleon Hill shared in his seminal worldwide bestseller 'Think and Grow Rich', "in every seed of adversity lies a seed of equal or greater opportunity". For those seeking to continue the journey of being your best self and learning how to become bigger than any challenge presented to you, the following quote I recently heard says it all.

  • "Good times create weak people. Weak people create bad times. Bad times create strong people. Strong people create good times."

The natural cycles of life in every form are perfect and unerring. By any and all definitions of "bad", I don't think there's a significant argument that doesn't assign the global pandemic as primarily challenging (bad) times for the majority of us. If true for you, as survivors, know that we are all stronger as a result. As referenced in the aforementioned quote, that means that good times are following. Of course this will only be created by those who've grown strong enough through the bad times to recognize and embrace the balance that leads to the good times.

At the end of the day, good/bad, weak/strong are definitions we assign to things based on the choices we make. Shakespeare summarizes it best when in Hamlet he states, "there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Without dark, there's no understanding of light. Without cold, there's no knowledge of heat. We need both to know the whole.

In this time of seeming divisiveness amongst humanity, righteousness of points of view, and separation amongst us due to our certainty that our perspective is correct; let's consider as one race...human beings...we have far more in common than differences we otherwise isolate ourselves for. Embrace the balance of it all and share this wisdom of peace, love and gratitude to all. The world needs this now more than ever.

Believe...
